Start.Art - a brand new digital art buying experience - built on BigCommerce - intent on engaging and educating the next generation of art collectors. Start.art’s ultimate ambition of creating a ‘hype culture’ surrounding more than 4000 artists has led them to engage a cast of incredible K-Pop stars entering the art world such as MINO, Henri Lau, YooYeon & Ohnim.
Splendid UNLIMITED was also responsible for its eCommerce experience and visual identity. The new digital art buying experience features both emerging and established international artists who were hand-selected by an esteemed curatorial panel made up of art-world luminaries, gallerists, exhibition curators, consultants and collectors
The platform also has adopted technology from OpenSea to allow artists to mint and trade non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for exclusive artwork. In addition to sale of NFT art, Start.art also accepts crypto payment, allowing customers to trade art in a variety of relevant ways.
Including the creation of the art platform, Splendid were also tasked with the creation of the digital design language. When creating the brand expression for a brand new digital art buying experience intent on engaging and educating the next generation of art collectors. Our inspiration for the brand lent on the story of a lone computer's attempt to communicate its understanding of art in the only way it possibly comprehends - Spitting Glyphs.
