We worked with HSBC to design and deploy Connected Money: the first open banking app

Overview

The Open Banking initiative is designed to give bank customers greater control over their data and finances. We were asked to create a market leading app for HSBC's customers giving them control over and insight into their spending habits. Splendid were asked to provide bespoke design, UX and technical expertise to create an app that brought together all bank accounts, in one place. This invisible banking reform that could fundamentally change how people manage their money has been poorly understood and perceived. Splendid were asked to provide bespoke design, UX and technical expertise to create an app that brought together all bank accounts, in one place.

““New HSBC app will show ALL your accounts - even if they’re with its rivals.””
